It killed dollar weed better than toxic chemicals.
down here in georgia we have year round weed pressure, especially in spring and fall. did a spring application for the chickweed and henbit, then another in early fall for the dollar weed. both rounds worked. one bag covered the whole front yard easy. the bag itself feels solid, not flimsy plastic. quality product.
ok product, works on the standard broadleaf stuff at the selective rate. here in florida our problem is dollar weed and crab grass mostly. dollar weed it got after two passes at the selective rate, no issues. crab grass needed the higher non selective rate which does work but also takes out the grass around it, so for spot patches near the driveway or pavers it worked, in the middle of the lawn youd be trading one bare patch for another. three stars because the crab grass tradeoff is real and id rather know up front.
Dollar Weed Defeated
dollar weed is the bane of every florida lawn. tried so many things over the years. this one took two passes to fully take it out, about 10 days apart. between passes the leaves were already curling. the second pass was lighter coverage on what was left. lawn is dollar weed free for the first time in i dont know how many seasons. mowing this weekend.
product works. mixing process is the only thing i wish was simpler. you scoop it into your sprayer, add water, agitate it well or it can clog. once you get the mixing right (took me a couple tries to nail) the actual spraying and the results are great. clover and dollar weed both responded within a few days. four stars, would be 5 if mixing was less fussy.
i do small residential properties, mostly maintenance, and a few clients have been asking for organic. tried this on three properties this season for clover, dandelion, and a bad patch of dollar weed. all three responded well, the dollar weed needed two passes but it eventually went. still cheaper per gallon than what im paying for the synthetic stuff. ill keep buying.
4 Year Backyard Battle Ended
backyard had been a battle for 4 years. moved into a house where the previous owners had let everything go. dandelions, clover, dollar weed, ground ivy, you name it. spent two summers fighting with stuff that didnt work. ordered this, did the whole back yard at the selective rate. came back two weeks later for spot touch ups. by mid summer the lawn looked legitimately nice for the first time. recommended to my brother in law who lives in the next town.
clover, dandelions, ground ivy, dollar weed. that was the situation. did one application, hit about 80 percent of the weeds. did a second touch up on the holdouts about 12 days later. between the two applications, the lawn is the cleanest its been in years. not magic, but it works if you put in the work. patience and follow through with a second pass if needed.
